Plumbcraft was given the early opportunity to support Hawkins Construction and international project consultants, GHD at the design stage and to then install the UFH system for the school buildings including some 48000 metres of 16mm UFH pipe and 420 metres of Rauthermex in-ground mains.
The speed with which the contract was completed was remarkable.
Plumbcraft’s role was essential in getting the building platform and services under way on time. Being part of the services weekly meeting allowed their project team to move swiftly, preventing minor problems escalating into major ones.
The $52 million project started in spring 2007 so that construction of the nine buildings could start in January 2008. Construction of buildings started in January 2008 and was completed on budget and ahead of time less than a year later, ready for school opening on 4th Feb 2009.
